Working in a software development group and having hands-on experience in building a real-world working application fit for distribution.

How has your understanding or appreciation for earthquake science been affected by the UseIT program?

I've learnt a lot about earthquakes and they certainly turned out to be more interesting than I initially thought they would be.

What is your overall impression of the facilities and equipment?

The facilities and equipment are adequate although that really depends on what each person is working on.

What is the atmosphere or working environment like?

The program has a very relaxed working environment and it's nice working with a group of people with diverse interest and skills.

What have you done in the UseIT program this summer?

I worked on the scripting plugin (implemented the state vector for the plugin). changed the surface plugin interface to make it more intuitive and user-friendly.
