What was your favorite part about your UseIT experience?

The coding and some of the presentations.

What about the UseIT program have you benefited from most?

Better coding and teamwork experience.

How has your understanding or appreciation for earthquake science been affected by the UseIT program?

I enjoy having more than just common understanding and learning from earthquake scientists.

What is your overall impression of the facilities and equipment?

The facilities and equipment are useful and well maintained. I wish we had more administrator privileges.

What is the atmosphere or working environment like?

Overwhelming at times.

If you would do anything differently if you did this program over again, what would you do and why?

Try to incorporate more serious software engineering.

Has this program influenced or affected your plans for a career? If so, how or why?

Makes me appreciate academia more.

What have you done in the UseIT program this summer?

I worked on the text/label plugin and spent a tremendous amount of time incorporating focal mechanisms disc representation. A significant amount of time was spent studying unit testing and determining its usefulness to our challenge this summer. I also tested the usefulness of paired programming.
