Work Plans:

This summer I plan to complete the Political Boundaries (PB) plugin. I hope to obtain data of countries aside from the United States. I plan to organize the PB in the GUI based on the regions of the world (e.g. Southeast Asia, Oceania, etc). To get the plugin running smoothly, I plan to a) modify the code to load several data files instead of one huge file, and b) alter the way boundary groups are loaded and selected. This plugin will help users get a more concrete idea of where earthquakes occur without having topography draped on the globe. Aside from this, I plan to help organize the CFM Faults plugin according to the different versions of faults, and I hope to add default fault groups. I would also like to make the fault groups viewable in a separate tab for convenience. My other responsibility will be to facilitate communication among interns through the Wiki, forum, and mailing list. I hope to eventually make a list of recommendations for scientists, regarding which form of communication is best for a certain situation. I also hope to contribute to the Intern website.
