Work Plans:

This summer my first priority is to make sure I get involved in every different aspect of the both UseIT and SCEC-VDO that I can. I would like to spend at least a week working within the following aspects of SCEC-VDO: GUI refining for usability and conformity, creating/modifying/lighting the 3d scene, navigation controls and portability of the software distribution. As for my specific plans I would like to continue to be a part of pushing Jeremy's Relative Intensity Plugin as far as we can, including a fully functional molchen graph, a colored grid with boxes of varying heights based on their relative intensity as well and a beautiful and usable interface. I would also like to proceed with an unrelated (or seemingly unrelated) minor project such as the graticule on a biweekly basis so that I have something else to do with my time while taking a break from my primary goal. As soon as we finish Jeremy's project, or sooner if time does not permit, I would like to work on creating an installer for each platform (Mac, windows and UNIX-based) that will allow us to distribute a beta version by the deadline.
