National Earthquake Risk Management Conference information on WSSPC website

The National Earthquake Risk Management Conference is scheduled for September 17-22, 2000 in Seattle, Washington.

Leading experts in each of these areas will participate in panel discussions and interactions with the audience in six plenary sessions.

  • Successful Mitigation Strategies-The value of mitigation and incentives to reduce the risk.
  • Building Codes and Standards for the 21st Century-Implications and implementation of the International Building Code 2000.
  • Public Policy- An interactive, facilitated forum for discussion of the policy issues emerging from the conference and consideration of future implications.
