SCEC and the ROSRINE program
will hold a 1-day workshop on Thursday, November 16, at the Riviera
Resort in Palm Springs, CA. The workshop follows the 6th
International Conference on Seismic Zonation, which ends
on Wednesday, November 15th. The workshop will focus on the current
status and use of borehole data, and the future directions for
integration and operations of data from borehole arrays. The
workshop is organized into three sessions. In the first session,
several brief presentations will be made on the background and
current status of the various borehole programs in California.
The second session will focus on the current use and analysis
of borehole data. The third session will be a discussion to answer
specific questions related to the future directions for the borehole
programs. These questions are listed in the preliminary workshop
agenda enclosed below.
If you are interested in participating
in this workshop, please look over the following agenda. If you
are able to attend the workshop, please fill out the registration
form below immediately. In the next few weeks we will
be revising the agenda based on feedback from intended workshop
participants. While the topics listed for presentations have
one or more names associated with them, if you would like to
make a presentation and don't see your name, please contact Jamie
Steidl via email (steidl@crustal.ucsb.edu).
General feedback on the workshop agenda and focus should also
be sent to Jamie Steidl.
There are limited resources to
cover travel expenses for this workshop. The allocation of the
travel support will be based on need and level of participation.
The scheduling of this workshop to coincide with the 6ICSZ was
intended to help reduce the travel expenses for those who are
already in Palm Springs that week.
