This is a mosaic of aerial photographs from the Fairchild Collection
at Whittier College.
Early in my research I searched their entire collection and found
two flights that covered the area. This flight, taken in 1940,
is the clearer if the two.
In the eastern part, you can see the unconformity between the
Simmler and Caliente formations. The Simmler formation appears
as a dark gray, while the Caliente formation appears as almost
white.
Dibblee [1982] puts the fault at the unconformity between the
Simmler and Caliente formations.
