NOTES:
The analyses of FaultKin and Michael [1984] were found
to be quite similar.
We chose all locations where there was quality outcrop to take
measurements. At first, we planned to do a transect across the
fault, but lack of quality outcrop made this impossible.
The number of faults measured ranged from 15 to 35. A total of
128 faults were measured in all.
Stress orientations varied at each location.
We combined the six data sets together to get an overall stress
field orientation.
The results are shown in the following diagrams.
