There have been few detailed fault investigations conducted in the San Joaquin Hills region.

The scarcity of fault investigations caused a shift in research to more common geotechnical reports.

The bibliography of this report will be itís most valuable feature. The findings for fault activity are inconclusive at this stage, but the bibliography will highlight areas in need of further study and hopefully acts as a stepping-stone to more detailed investigations.

The San Joaquin Hills region needs to be investigated further. The area is being rapidly developed, but conclusive results for or against seismic hazards and relative fault activity are in short supply.
